Isolation
To safely care for horses with infectious and (potentially) contagious diseases including diarrhea, certain respiratory and neurologic infections, our hospital has a free standing isolation unit with 4 stalls.
Our isolation unit has separate water, heating and ventilation systems that prevent any contamination of the main hospital environment and any potential contamination between horses within the unit, with individual treatment areas for each.
One stall is equipped with an Anderson sling to help support horses with neurological problems or those that are extremely weak or malnourished.
We have the capability to monitor horses in the isolation unit via video as needed.
